Online Shopping

To register for an online shopping account go to www.babycity.co.za and click on "Hi guest/ Your account". Proceed to select "create an account" and fill in your personal details. Please note that your password should be at least 8 characters long.

To change your online shopping profile password, click on the 'your account' link. Click on account information and a new page will open where you can select change password, enter the new password and confirm it. Please note that your password should be at least 8 characters long. An example is Password111.

Kindly ensure that your personal details used to register for your online shopping profile matches the one linked to your Dis-Chem/Baby City Benefit Card. Your Benefit rewards will automatically pull through and appear on your profile. You may have not registered your account on the new website which was launched on August 2022, hence the system does not send you a request confirmation. Please create a new online shopping profile.

Not all products are available for collection in-store due to the nature of the product. You may have a product in your shopping basket that is for delivery only. Should you want to collect your order, the item which is only available through delivery will need to be removed from your shopping basket.

There are select items which may not be delivered due to the nature of the product. Should the delivery option not appear, you may have one of these products in your basket. In order to have your order delivered, the product for collection only will need to be removed from your shopping basket.

You will need to add both products to your cart in order to qualify for the promotion.

Register with your applicable partner and we will link your Dis-Chem/Baby City Benefit Card to your partner programme. Not all products available in-store are listed on Baby City's online website. If there is a certain product you are looking to purchase, please supply us with the name of the product and our online store will check for you if it is out of stock or not listed for online. If it is not listed for online, we will investigate further and see if it can be featured on our website.

You will not be able to place your order telephonically. To make your online shopping experience easier we suggest you create a shopping profile. To do this, go to www.babycity.co.za and at the top of the home page click on Hi guest/ register. You will then need to complete a few steps and you will have your own online shopping profile.

You may have left promotional items in your cart that have since expired prior to checkout. Please remove and re-add these items to you cart and proceed to checkout.

You may have an item in your cart that is out of stock. Please provide us with an email address registered for your online profile and we gladly remove the item.

If the products are sold out or discontinued, these items will no longer appear in the registry.

Dis-Chem/Baby City Benefit Card

Register with your applicable partner and we will link your Dis-Chem/Baby City Benefit Card to your partner programme. Partner rewards will be earned on qualifying purchases every time you use your card in-store or online. For more information on the various partner benefits available to you, click on the partner links.

Kindly send an email to [email protected] or [email protected], including your name, surname and order number. We will ensure the rewards are reinstated for you within 48 hours.

Your Dis-Chem rewards balance can be viewed through the following channels:

  • Register online at www.babycity.co.za/benefit-programme to view your rewards balance as well as manage your profile.
  • Simply dial *120*1085# and follow the prompts.
  • When you shop and swipe your Benefit Card in-store, your rewards balance will appear at the base of your till slip.
  • Visit the Customer Service Desk in-store and our Customer Service Consultants will provide you with your rewards balance.

If your Benefit card is lost or stolen, simply report this in-store, online or via our careline which can be contacted on 0860 347 243 or via email on [email protected]. A new Benefit Card can be issued immediately in-store, a virtual card can also be generated online or via the app, this will enable you to continue shopping.

Benefit rewards can be redeemed at any time. Simple swipe your card in-store and inform the cashier you would like to pay with your rewards. If you are shopping online, simple choose the option to pay with your rewards at checkout.

One reward is worth 1 cent, ie 1000 rewards = R10

Orders:

You need to log on to your profile and go to "My Account". Click on "My Orders", then click "View" on the order in question. You will then be able to track your order status.

Unfortunately not. You will need to place another order.

Online Delivery:

You will receive your waybill number and a tracking link via SMS or email once the fulfilment centre hands your order over to our courier partner. You will also be able to get the Waybill number in the My Orders section on your shopping profile.

The delivery time for main metropolitan areas is 5 working days. We reserve the right to change our lead times over high-volume periods such as Covid waves, Black Friday and Christmas week to 4-10 working days.

Log into your shopping profile and go to the order status. This will allow you to view the status of your latest order.

You are welcome to take it back to your nearest Baby City store. Please ensure that you have your till slip available when returning the product. Should you live far away from a Baby City store, we can arrange for a courier to collect the incorrect item provided it is still in its original packaging.

To change your shipping address, click on the account page. From here you must click on the address book link and you can change your address.

Unfortunately, this is not possible. A new order for the additional items will need to be placed.

We have designated fulfilment centres at stores across the country responsible for the fulfilment of delivery orders. Your closest store may not be set up for processing these orders and hence your order is processed from another store in your region.

We strive to deliver your order as quickly as possible. Most orders are delivered within 5 working days in main metropolitan areas. Deliveries to remote area and during peak periods such as Black Friday, we may take a little longer due to order volumes or our courier partners not frequenting those areas as often as others.

Pargo Pick Up Points:

Pargo is Baby City's delivery partner operating thousands of pickup points across country in local stores and retail chains you know and love. Instead of waiting at home for the courier, Pargo lets you take control of your delivery by visiting a nearby pickup point when it works for you.

You will receive an SMS and/or email notification as soon as your parcel has been delivered to your chosen Pargo Pickup Point and is ready for collection.

Delivery can take up to three business days from the day your parcel is handed over to Pargo. Add an additional two days for delivery to outlying areas.

This is a unique security code that you receive via SMS and/or email when your parcel arrives at your selected Pargo Pickup Point. You will need this code to collect your parcel. You won’t be able to collect your parcel without it.

The Pargo Code can be found in the SMS and/or email notification that informs you that your parcel is ready for collection. If you have lost your Pargo Code, please contact us to receive a new code.

Ensure that you are at the correct Pargo Pickup point. Please check the pickup point’s collection address you received via SMS and/or email to confirm you went to the correct Pargo Pickup Point. If you visited the correct pickup point, please contact us.

Please contact Pargo and provide us with your new contact details. Without your details, Pargo is unable to notify you about your parcel.

Yes. The person collecting your parcel will have to bring your ID (or a copy) and the unique Pargo Code.

Pargo holds the parcel for 8 days from the moment you receive your SMS/email notification. If you have not collected your parcel within 8 days, it will be returned to the sender.

Unfortunately not. Once the parcel has been handed over by the sender we cannot change the collection point.
